So the Dow Jones is tumbling down...markets are crashing, investors are panicking, losses everywhere...It does not look good at all. The snowball effect. The bloody avalanche of greed, a lust for money and power. Nothing is enough, nothing is ever enough. How much more ? they thought to themselves. Bring in more, get more, have more, produce more, buy more, consume more, fuck more, eat more, drink more, more and more and more...And voilĂ , now you have it. More.
Same thing in Iraq, the parallels are glaring, staring you in the face. Have it all, take it all. Kill more, torture more, rape more, bomb more, imprison more, steal more, plunder more, evict more, exile more, destroy more...more, more and more...
Inflict more pain, inflict more grief, inflict more death, inflict more... Do it more often and more...
An so you did. You did more and you got more and now you will get even more. Hell, after all you did invent it. The more concept. More, more and more.

Completely ignorant that our last shreds of democracy most likely will not be sustained past Jan. 20th 2009. They are even more so distracted by the manufactured financial downturn. Completely ignorant that it will surely usher in the absolute police state and the destruction of what remains of this country.
What of Iraq? Over here they will allow the ignorant masses to assume everything is just fine on the ground in Iraq, that this "surge" has resulted in peace and prosperity for your people. Not even the "conspiracy theorists" are producing material about Iraq. The same inhuman atrocities are surely still being inflicted upon the innocent people of Iraq, and those with the bare minimum of consciousness of this worlds heinous truths are completely disregarding Iraq.
It takes consciousness to choose the right path, but it takes blind faith to walk it to the end.
Amir, it doesn't matter what the people of America "demand," for it is not the democracy it is purported to be. The majority of Americans did not even vote for this regime twice in the last eight years. It was illegally forced on us. And personal liberties and right to protest have been quietly taken away also. I have lost confidence in any political figure, anywhere, because they all lie and they are all motivated by greed (though I would be happy to learn of an exception).
Personally, I have withdrawn into a very rural life where I live sustainably on acreage, working hard physically for my existence, and trying to model a way of life that is peaceful, simple, dignified and productive and that could be lived by anyone, anywhere with the end of living in peace and harmony with one another and without greed and avarice. The world cannot be a good place when people on it are suffering and no amount of wealth can buy happiness and safety when it is at the expense of others - which it is in almost every case. But this is an idealism that will never be popular. Still, as Gandhi said, we must be the change we envision and I take that very seriously.
In any case, the elephant in the room is the global climate change which will change everything everywhere. When there is inadequate food and lack of potable water, none of the rest of these things will matter but, of course, there will be new wars over other things. Greed just never ends. Our western so-called civilization has made such a mess of things... I grieve for what we have done to this marvelous Earth we have so violated.
American Conscience
There were ( and still are that do support it ). Look at the members in government, many religious leaders and their followings, look at the military and even 'regular' americans.
"We" deserve every god damned thing now coming our way for the way "we" treated the World or let happen to the World. Whether "we" had direct involvement or have been by-standers.
You go out in the country and grow yer veggies. Good for you. Thats another reason this country will never change. Theres too much dead weight to drag around for people that are willing and rady to take extreme measures.
I say blow the fuck out of powere grids & structers to take away electricity for starters. This country and all the evil sons of bitches could be greatly effected. and yes...Im sure they have genertors but what do they need to run on? Its certainly not air.
For all I disagree with in the founding of the US.....the reveloution war was not won over Britain by going into hibernation. It took extreme measures to get out from under the rule of Britain.
But americans wont do that. "We'll" just set here and find information and writers will flat out point it all out and the............Nothing. Nothing at all. Writers and investigators will point out the govt is doing this or doing that and Americans go.."yep, yep...sure enough. thats whats goin on..we need to do something." And thats the end of it. Look at all the websites devoted to exposing things. And in the end..what comes of it? NOTHING.
America is like a worn out condom with a hole in it. Going around fucking everybody and thinking all will be fine.
Miss Beatrice, the church organist, was in her eighties and had never been married. She was
admired for her sweetness and kindness to all. One afternoon the pastor came to call on her
and she showed him into her quaint sitting room.
She invited him to have a seat while she prepared tea. As he sat facing her old Hammond
organ, the young minister noticed a cut-glass bowl sitting on top of it.
The bowl was filled with water, and in the water floated, of all things, a condom! When she
returned with tea and scones, they began to chat.
The pastor tried to stifle his curiosity about the bowl of water and its strange floater, but soon
it got the better of him and he could no longer resist. "Miss Beatrice", he said, "I wonder if
you would tell me about this?" pointing to the bowl.
"Oh, yes," she replied, "Isn't it wonderful? I was walking through the park a few months ago
and I found this little package on the ground. The directions said to place it on the organ,
keep it wet and that it would prevent the spread of disease. Do you know I haven't had the flu
all winter."
Cheers!
You forget too easily - capitalism is cyclical. The current financial climate is a perfect example of a "bust," caused by the reckless greed of the American mortgage industry and extremely unwise deregulation.
Once natural selection has culled most outstanding weakness in the markets, new enterprises will learn how to capitalize on the gaping holes in the market left by failed firms. I expect the worst will go on for six months or so, then signs of recovery should surface and a new "boom" cycle will begin. If Obama is elected president, expect the recovery to come sooner.
Well thank you for your comments. Some are very good and some are quite funny.
I think Iraq has been put on the backburner. As simple as that.
One million and half people wiped out in less than 6 years just like that and that's it huh ?
No fucking way. No way.
